2 rail update

Welcome, I hope you enjoy the visit.  My layout is a 12'X27' around the room style layout focusing on the Mighty Norfolk & Western and the High Speed Nickel Plate Road during the 40s and 50s.  For track I decided early on that I wanted to hand lay all of it...crazy right?  The main line will be made up using code .148 steel rail while the sidings and servicing areas will use code .125 steel rail.  I chose steel rail as it is much easier to work with and the final look is spot on..to me the yellowish look of the NS track is a turn off.  The rail is sitting on top of tie plates with 4 spikes per tie.  All of the rail, detail parts and switch components are from Right O Way with the ties coming from Kappler.
To date I have completed approximately half of the main line and 1 siding so there is still a long way to go.  I will be posting photos and some "how to" information shortly based on my experiences.
